Form 7460-1 and FAA Part 77
FAA Form 7460-1, the Notice of Proposed Construction or Alteration, is filed under 14 CFR Part 77 when a structure or crane would exceed certain heights, such as 200 feet above ground level, or penetrate imaginary surfaces near airports. The FAA studies the filing and issues a determination of whether the structure is a hazard. Stacks, buildings and construction cranes can all require notice.
