Transformer
A transformer is electrical equipment that raises or lowers voltage by electromagnetic induction. Large power transformers step transmission voltage down at a data center substation, and smaller units step it down again inside the campus. High-voltage power transformers are custom-built and can have long manufacturing lead times, so their availability often affects energization schedules.
