Phase II ESA
A Phase II environmental site assessment is an investigation that samples soil, groundwater, soil vapor or building materials to test whether contamination suspected in a Phase I is actually present, and at what levels. It is commonly guided by ASTM E1903. Results inform cleanup needs, regulatory reporting, cost and whether a site such as a brownfield remains practical for a data center.
