PUE (power usage effectiveness)
Power usage effectiveness is the ratio of a data center’s total facility energy to the energy used by its IT equipment, a metric developed by The Green Grid. A PUE of 1.0 would mean all energy goes to IT, and higher values show more overhead for cooling and power losses. Climate and cooling design strongly affect PUE, so it influences site selection.
